If you are a guy who has been unlucky in love or seem to always end up with the wrong girl, chances are good you are a little gun-shy about dating. But in your deepest heart, you dream of being the kind of man who has the power to attract women without even trying.

This is not an impossible dream. There are definite successful ways to pick up women. They are not tricks; they are proven methods that work. They are not scams that give you a momentary ability to attract women. They are simply ways to improve yourself so you constantly exude the power to attract even when you aren’t trying.

The number one thing you can do to get women is to work on your self confidence. The secret in a man’s power to attract lies in his self esteem. When you have healthy self esteem, you are not cocky or arrogant, you are relaxed and playful and more fun to be around. This is the secret to how to pick up women.

When you have self confidence, you know you are worthy of a beautiful woman’s time and attention and you are not stung if your attempts to date a woman are not successful. You naturally have the attitude that there are more fish in the sea. And guess what? There are. When you approach a woman with self confidence, not placing a large importance on the outcome of the conversation, you are doing it right. It’s not just whether or not you pick up women – it’s how you handle whatever happens.

Once you realize what is in your control and what is out of your control, you can relax. Your approach anxiety will naturally disappear. You will appear more playful, more fun, more confident and more relaxed. And guess what else? The natural consequences of you feeling this way make you more likely to pick up women.

It’s ironic, but the less you care, the less emphasis you put on the outcome, the more power to attract women you have. But you can’t go out there trying too hard. It’s the opposite of that. It is having enough self confidence that you know you will be fine with or without a woman. And frankly, that is irresistible.

Bi-Polar disorder is another moniker for manic depression. When an individuals mood swings are very irregular with sudden changes from good to bad this is commonly associated with being Bi-Polar. It is just another in the many forms of depression. Sadness over an event isn’t manic depression. Manic depression is a much more serious condition. Another stage of depression is the diagnosis for bi-polar disorder. Manic depression is diagnosed in millions of cases each year in America. Typically, some type of depression yearly affects around 17 million Americans.

Two thirds of those people will never seek medical attention or even a diagnosis. Nothing can be cured if the victim doesn’t go for help. A lot of people refuse to deal with any disease called a mental illness. The negative image of someone who is “nuts” is just too much for them. Diseases that affect the brain have always been very complicated. The stigma of a diagnosis is a hard pill to swallow. However, as with any form of depression, the affliction does not make you less a person. It does not mean that you are a nut case. This is a disease like any other. If it’s identified it can be cured.

The causes of all forms of depression are still being examined in the medical profession. There are many factors that bring on depression. Doctors take into consideration many things such as biological factors, the environment, and DNA. A chemical imbalance in the brain helps cause it. Depression is also brought about by stress. Daily life brings stress, period. It can be problems at work, in our relationships with those we love or facing the reality of trying to survive week to week. Depression isn’t a condition for only “them”. Both the rich and the poor contract it. It doesn’t care about race. Color or nationality provide no protection from this illness.

All the types of depression have similar symptoms. Dramatic shifts in personality and up and down mood swings are some. The advent of sleeplessness is another sign of depression. The feeling of helplessness, hopelessness and Desperation. Depression is real when it interferes with your ability to live your life. There is hope for depression sufferers. Help is available. There are medicines both prescribed and natural that can offer a cure. Psychotherapy can also help. Support groups can also be helpful for those with manic depression. Look for assistance first.

Severe Depression occurs when the illness is in its worse stages. Most people who suffer from this disease seek no medical attention until it’s severe enough to require long periods of treatment. Each year over 15 million people in America suffer from some form of depression. Unfortunately 2/3 of these people never seek medical treatments. It seems that the age-old stereotypes that are associated with any mental illness leads these individuals to conceal their affliction and try to wish it away. But there’s no good fairy to magic away severe depression. Those who suffer this disease have no control over it and the condition will only get worse with time.

Many Americans are too ashamed to admit they are afflicted. Severe depression does not make you sub-human. It doesn’t make you less of a human. Depression is a real medical condition. Medical aid is required. The normal symptoms of depression are multiplied in severe cases. The intensity kicks up many notches. Social situations and work become more difficult. Negative feelings intensify to make you a total loner. This illness cannot be prevented. Treatment is possible. It’s vital to detect it early.

Diagnosis and treatment require an expert eye to notice the signs of depression. There are many different symptoms that are identified with depression. The victim will begin to pull out of the world around them. They find it impossible to handle relationships with other people. They cannot overcome their feelings of guilt, hopelessness and uselessness. They are constantly agitated and irritable. In the severest of cases those suffering from this disease may feel that they hear voices or believe they have received visits from the devil. At some point many of these victims of Severe Depression will consider suicide as a way of escape. Only treatment and the support of family and friends can help.

Severe depression is terrible. Victims become unable to live like they used to. Losing the ability to control your own life is terrible. Treatment is the only option. A combination of psychotherapy and medications are generally used to combat depression. Support groups can also help. Once victims seek treatment they can be put on the road to a better life. They can once again gain the self-control they once had. But first the illness must be admitted and treatment sought.

When you have been dumped by the man you were hoping to have a rosy future with, the pain and misery is overwhelming. You want your ex back, but you also want him to feel the pain and misery you feel first. You want him to be so sorry he broke up with you that he will come to you begging forgiveness. It is possible to make your ex regret the breakup and plead for you to take him back, but there are things you need to have the strength and determination to do. It is not as difficult as it may seem to make your ex boyfriend miserable without you, but first you need to make him ache for you.

This might sound a bit crazy to you, but to make your ex boyfriend miserable you will have to dump him. Since he is the one that broke up with you, it might seem like an impossible task but it is not. All you have to do is change the way he thinks you are going to react to his dumping you. He is pretty confident right now in the fact that he believes you still are crazy about him and will do anything to get him back. You need to burst his bubble of confidence big time and show him how wrong he is.

Now that he has been dumped and feels rejected, make him ache for you. He is now on the other end of the situation and he will be trying to contact you. Ignore him and do not take his phone calls or answer the many emails and text messages he will be sending. Find other interests. Reconnect with your family you may have been neglecting. Go out with your friends, have a good time and show your ex that you can have a life without him.

When your ex boyfriend hears of your activity, he will remember the good times he had with you and begin to miss you. This will make him desperate because he will feel that he has blown ant chance of having a life with the woman he loves.

Loneliness is actually considered a form of neediness. When you feel needy, you yearn to feel some support or companionship that you are not getting. When your world doesn’t appear to be as you expected it to be, you will feel lonely. We usually feel lonely when we lose something that is of great value to us, like a family member who died or a friend who moved away. When we are rejected by people, we also feel lonely. The reason why we automatically feel lonely in these situations is because we see the difference between how things are now and how they used to be. Another cause of loneliness is when we compare the happy social networks of other people to ours. When we see other people who have a good connections with the people around them, we long for the same thing and we instantly feel lonely knowing that we don’t have it.

To cope up with the feeling of loneliness, you need to focus on the present. Do not long for the past. When you find yourself doing so, stop right away. Always bring your attention back to the present. You can never go back to the past and relive it. Accept that fact. Rather, look for the great opportunities that you have at the present. Take as much as you can to improve your life.

Be proud of yourself and be yourself. Do not pretend to be someone you’re not. You aren’t anyone else but yourself and that is a wonderful thing. You are unique so be happy and proud that you are exactly who you are.

Learn to spend time alone and try to enjoy it. If you are comfortable being alone, you will forget your compulsive need for companionship. Take long silent walks alone in the park or watch the stars alone at night. You’d be surprise how this can feel very peaceful. spending alone time with yourself will actually help you think better of the things that make you happy. Concentrate on those and you will eventually forget why you were lonely in the first place.

Take the time to know your life’s purpose. Once you’ve figured out what it is, find time to involve yourself in activities that will support your purpose. When your life is directed toward an important purpose, the support of others will eventually lessen in significance. When you are involved in things that you need to do to fulfill your life’s purpose, you will realize it will be much harder to feel lonely.

Listen to happy music. Choose the kind of music that puts you in the mood to be happy. Turn up the volume and dance to your favorite music, sing to your favorite song and just let the music reverberate within you.

Lastly, know that your higher power is always with you. Always keep in mind that you are never alone. have a one on one conversation with your higher power and ask for guidance to get you out of your loneliness.

Estimates are that almost 15 million Americans suffer from Depression, a serious problem. Make no mistake, it is a real disease. Even though it’s a mental illness, the afflicted is not responsible for it because of personal habits like laziness. Depression can affect anyone. There’s no logic to its onset. It can strike the rich or the poor. Race or religion aren’t important. The fact that you are suffering from this disease does not mean that you are less a human being. Mental illness comes with stereotypes, ignore them. The longer a patient goes without treatment, the worse this disease becomes. Ignoring the signs will not make it disappear. If a person doesn’t seek medical attention, the disease becomes worse until it dominates their entire life.

Depression can result from a number of sources. It’s not a matter of a day or two of confusion or sadness, this disease is much more. Months or even years are the time frame in which depression plays. Suicide often results from depression. Early stages involve feelings of regret. It’s possible that the disease will steal away the enjoyment you used to have for favorite hobbies. It’s possible to experience loneliness and despair. It could lead to feelings of failure and a sense of the future only getting worse. Day by day your personality changes to the point that your friends don’t recognize your actions. It impacts every phase of life from work and school to at home. Anxiety grows and sleep patterns change.

There are many causes of depression. Stress is one of them. A serious illness or the loss of a loved one can cause stress. It can be passed on genetically. It can result from physical, sexual or even mental abuse. Looking at the monthly bills might cause it. Competition to make it in society creates stress in the modern world. Don’t forget that it’s a serious condition. There is assistance for people who look to be treated. Studies have shown that only a third of that 15 million Americans that are affected by depression will ask for assistance. A loved one or you have to look for the help.

Prozac and other medications, along with psychotherapy, are a common combination treatment. However, this can get to be very expensive and the anti-depressants offer as many side affects as the depression itself. Hyperforin, an anti-depressant ingredient, is found in many natural medications. There is also assistance for this terrible illness in the form of support groups. Whether you want it or someone pushes you to it, there is help around for depression.

Your expectations define your reality. Think about that… What you expect is what you get . It’s simple, powerful, and profound all at the same time. This easy to understand principle can have a profound impact on the results you want to achieve, both in your personal and professional life. Are you always expecting the best possible outcome?

If you do anticipate that positive things will happen, they generally do. Not 100% of the time , but in general, when you believe and expect to succeed, you will . It is more likely that you will win when you expect to do so . When you expect to live a full and satisfying life, it happens. Conversely, when you expect to be unsuccessful, miserable, confused, conflicted, etc…. you are .

This is not a secret at work. It is the basic fact that your attitude, disposition, and general outlook attract similar behaviors and reactions in those around you. Positive people are surrounded by positive influences. They have a support system of positive people who encourage them when faced with adversity or challenges. Negative people only receive more negativity and pessimism when they are faced with adversity or challenge.

The expectations that you present to the world about yourself, and the people around you , will usually manifest. Just the way our expectations of others influence how we relate tothem, they also influence how other people respond to us .

If you’ve ever worked with a person who is primarily negative you will know what I’m talking about. A negative workplace is the least productive, least satisfying, and least motivating environment to be in. Negativity is like a black hole that even the brightest light can’t escape from. Once you get caught up in negativity, it is almost impossible to break free. To avoid this trap you can work on developing positive expectations about yourself and others.

This does not mean you can choose any expectation and expect it to come true. Aside from being positive, your expectations must meet two other criteria before they can help you become the person you want to be. They must be realistic and true to your self.

Unrealistic expectations are just as damaging as negative ones. When you never achieve success you begin to doubt yourself. All your positive energy is swiftly transformed to negativity. This brings you right back to where you don’t want to be.

If your expectations are not true to the person you want to be, then you won’t commit to making them a reality. All too often people try to live up to the expectations of others, such as a parent, a manager, a significant other, a teacher or another authority figure. Make sure your expectations are congruent with who you really are. That is the only way you will realize success, and the only way your expectations will continue to remain positive. Consider the following tips from an acclaimed life coach:

Commit yourself to setting positive and realistic expectations about all the things you truly want and deserve.

Write an affirmation statement that asserts your expectation of a positive outcome. Repeat this message to yourself over and over again.

Take the necessary steps to make your self-affirmation a reality.

Develop your confidence and take full ownership for your own life.

Remind yourself that you do not always get what you wish for, but you will get what you positively expect – most of the times .

Create a powerful visual message that you can refer to when you feel negativity creep in.

Work everyday at bringing to you the resources you need to make your expectations a reality.

You will find both power and happiness when you begin to set your own standards and expectations based on what is true for you . You are what you believe, and you become what you expect. Expect the best, and only the best, from life, from others, and from yourself!

The shocking truth is that anxiousness pills will only temporarily alleviate symptoms of anxiety and also the success rate of a complete cure is very low indeed. So, folks who are prescribed these drugs (mainly SSRIs) are on them for years which leads to a sort of dependency and the actual cause of their problem is never addressed at all, with expensive results for society in general.

One more shocking fact is that depression and anxiousness are such widespread mental disorders in our community to-day that the cost in not just economic terms but also in social terms is enormous. Yet few people are able to come to terms with anxiousness and resort to aid of the family doctor by taking anxiety tablets such as Luvox or Zoloft which might create rather nasty unwanted effects. Tablets to alleviate anxiety are just one little piece in the jigsaw puzzle. Natural ways to treat depression and anxiety can help fill in many of the jigsaw pieces but are rarely considered.

We all experience anxiety in our daily lives to a greater or lesser degree. It may be caused by a fearful scenario such as speaking in front of an audience or escaping from a violent mugger. We have an inbuilt resistance mechanism of ‘fight or flight’ which gets the adrenaline going and prepares our body to face the fearful circumstance. Short term anxiety could be beneficial but when it becomes long term and chronic, well, anxiousness becomes a permanent fixture in our lives and worry, loss of sleep, stress all become unwelcome cohabitants within our bodies and minds. Hopelessness, despair and a feeling of worthlessness become standard every day reactions and that’s the genuine malaise of our culture to-day, I feel.

Making lifestyle modifications can aid greatly to enhance mood but several people suffering from depression or anxiety just don’t have the will power to make those alterations and will take the easy option of getting a prescription for anxiety pills. Yet the figures are astounding in that they show that self aid for depression for anxiety is one of the best ways of coping with this debilitating problem. As the pills to alleviate anxiety produce a whole new series of issues, folks are turning more and more to herbal remedies for anxiety or naturopathy for anxiety which have been proven without having any shadow of doubt to be just as effective as the classic anxiety pills which can have serious unwanted effects and health risks. Natural anxiety treatment is low on side effects and high on efficacy and extended term safety.

Depression is a complex disease that can remain hidden unless someone who knows the signs looks. Each year over 15 million people in the USA suffer from some form of depression, many without even realizing it. 2/3 of those never seek help. What makes depression so hard to diagnose? The answer is simple. Depression is often confused with every day issues people face, such as remorse over negative event . It’s therefore not easy to discern the difference between a danger sign and an every day experience.

It’s not unusual to feel some negative feelings on occasion. For example we may become a little shaken when we reach the age of 40. There are many who see this as some milestone of reflection that causes us to ponder and evaluate our lives. For many it may be depressing to some extent. This does not mean that you are suffering from depression. Depression is not a feeling that will come and go for brief encounters of sadness. If not treated depression will last forever and will get worse and worse. It can take years to get this illness under control.

Changes in eating or sleep patterns are symptoms of depression. This isn’t to say a sleepless night or a day of over eating are symptoms, rather it would be an ongoing pattern. Depressed individuals tend to recede into a shell. They feel hopelessness and helplessness. They feel upset the more lonely they become. They may want to reach out for help but cannot bring themselves to do so. They may find it hard to relate to those around them. Where they once may have been the life of the party they may now be barely noticeable. These are symptoms of the early stages.

Depression in later stages creates a seeming incompatibility between the victim and other people. School and work are impacted because they stop taking part in discussions and activities. Dealing with others, even dealing with themselves becomes nearly impossible. Life loses purpose and any light at the end of the tunnel so they begin to think about death. To avoid this unhappy result early detection is essential. Help is out there for people who suffer with depression. The proper care and treatment can return the victims from suffering to normalcy. Ongoing symptoms of depression should prompt you to look for help. It’s a matter of life or death.

Controlling anxiousness is a subject of intense interest to people who experience anxiety attacks (which are also referred to as panic attacks), because they know just how disabling such attacks can be. These episodes of extreme fear or panic are surprisingly common. And more often than not, they occur with little warning and have a debilitating result.

The good news is that there are uncomplicated, natural, extremely effectual mechanisms which are readily usable and very often result in successfully controlling anxiety

There are four essential keys in the process: :

First – understand that help is readily available , and that you can control defeat eliminatethe anxiety and panic. By adopting the right procedures, anxiety and panic attacks need not be your victor.

Second – don’t accept the erroneous notion that because you experience such episodes , you are in some way deficient and should be ashamed. It is well authenticated that many well known people have experienced considerable trauma associated with anxiety attacks , among them

the brilliant poet Lord Tennyson

vocalist Donny Osmond

noted Australian actress Rebecca Gibney

famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud

Oscar-winning actor Kim Basinger

Third – know that, in most cases, anxiety and panic attacks are not the result of mental unwellness. More often than not , they are just the result of an unrecognized fear which has no legitimate basis. But you need to work this through carefully and in a relaxed manner without the fear of such attacks, because the difficulty is that, at the time of the attacks, applying logic doesn’t by itself help much in controlling anxiety.

And

Fourth – know the symptoms so that you can recognize them as they start creeping up on you and apply an effective strategy to deal with the problem. Symptoms vary enormously and can include prickling sensations, light-headedness , elevated pulse rate , breathing difficulties, muscle pains, stomach upset , and flat out fear.
