Low self-esteem can cause a lot of complications A lot of complications can be caused by low self esteem – both emotionally and physically – when not treated . The following details low self esteem symptoms that can put your health in danger .

Depression – This can occur when suffering from low self-esteem. They start to feel worthless , which detaches them from their friends and family . Separation only pushes them to think badly about themselves, which makes depression go even deeper . In very grave cases, some resort to taking their own life .

Anxiety – Low self-esteem causes folk to have hardly any confidence in themselves, which can lead to fear and panic attacks when they’re faced with a situation they do not want to be part of .

Stress – This is a common part of everyone’s lives, but it can appear much stronger for someone who’s experiencing low self-esteem. They’re very unlikely to take the steps necessary to escape some of the stress they are under , which in turn causes their anxiety to build .

Weight Gain – People often try to fill the void of self-esteem by eating . This can result in them piling on weight and becoming obese. Gaining too much weight can cause heart problems, diabetes, and many other illnesses.

Weight Loss - Where some people gain weight, others tend to binge and expel their food or starve themselves , thinking they will gain a more satisfying appearance . The sad fact is , they never reach the level where they become satisfied with their look and they become very sick, to a point where they have to get professional help .

Addictions – Some end up being addicted to street drugs or prescription drugs . Getting high on these drugs and living that moment in time in a different world where they have no cares and no issues . Unfortunately they can end up brain damaged or dead if the addiction isn’t dealt with early on.

Alcohol abuse – Some turn to drinking to try to forget their problems and feel good about themselves. Alcohol takes the place of their friends because it provides them the confidence they yearn for , but cannot find . It gives them courage and they behave in ways they wouldn’t normally have the courage to do. They soon find they cannot live without alcohol and then over time , the abuse of it can result in liver problems, heart disease and even contribute to the development of cancer .

This is not a complete list, there are many other causes . It’s important that anyone suffering with low self-esteem symptoms gets help to build their confidence back up. If not treated , these health problems (and even more serious ones) can happen .

We enjoy reading their stories; stories of great men and women who against all odds not only found success but became legendary in the process. Often, we think how such incredible achievements are fine for these people but in our own lives we are destined to remain in our meaningless rut.

And yet, it is this exact poisonous thinking that traps you and prevents you from reaching the potential you know is within you but can’t seem to extract. I have often wondered what makes some men great. In my opinion, the common ingredients appear to be twofold: belief and unwavering determination.

Have you ever had a moment when you felt deep within your core an unshakable confidence? That is the essence of belief. It is when you know you are doing right with every fiber of your being. It’s what propelled a man like George Washington to continue on despite devastating loses. It is historical fact that he lost almost every battle save one…the one that won the war. He shook aside those who would betray him and ignored critics calling for his ouster. Why? Because he believed he was right. He dismissed every other possibility but victory. Yes, luck played a role as it often does men of greatness. But what is luck if not the very manifestation of faith? It took a rare fog to save his army from complete annihilation in New York. That fog arrived precisely when he needed it. It was as if his will created the very thing that could save him. Is this truly possible? Yes, it is.

In business, self made men that created out of nothing thriving companies that employed thousands and bettered the lives of millions did not happen in an instant. Men such as Andrew Carnige that risked everything he had both mentally and monetarily on an idea, helped to physically create the very nation we enjoy today.

The list of examples for greatness is utterly exhaustive. However you’ll find the underlining theme remains true. Faith, belief, confidence, name it what you will, but it is incredibly important. This power is in you as well as it is every man. Your challenge is foster it. If you think this is too cliche, you’re getting closer to your problem. Too often today, our modern world has sapped us of our faith. We want instant gratification or we quit. We are unwilling to toil for years and reach the brink of failure only to wrestle success from its insidious grasp. This is after all what a winner would do. They believe in their cause and they fight for it until they have no fight left.

Perhaps you are businessman struggling in a tough economy and money is running low. How does a pep talk help you? Well, I live in reality and I have learned that your spirit can remain strong by choice even as your financial state contracts. When dollars are scare, will must replace it. Whether you are presenting a better way to sell office supplies against fierce competition, or inventing a life saving medical device, the journey is often the same. Success requires that we be willing to skate the line of failure. It is the walk through fire that earns you the right to claim victory. Some may achieve instant success but these cases are not the norm. One sure fire way to become discouraged is to expect immediate success. Instead, focus on the end result and only the desired end result.

One of the greatest inventors of all time, Thomas Edison, tried over 6,000 times before he found the right filament to burn inside what would become the light bulb. With it the world changed too. How many of us would be persistent enough to do this? By the 20th, 60th, or even 10th time, how many would have quit and given up on a dream not knowing how close they were to its realization? The answer is those willing to be ordinary would have. I have simpler aspirations but they require no less dedication. Armed with a cardscan and a few other office machines I am steadfast in my approach. I want to sell millions of smead file folders through my company. I want to challenge the big box supply stores in my industry because I believe I have a better way. Now, I need only to stay the course. You have opportunities within your field as well.

As a kid we are told we can do or be anything we want. The early stages of dissatisfaction can be found right here. As such, I do not subscribe to this mentality but instead keep at least one foot in reality. I do however believe that there is greatness in all of us. The hard part is finding it nurturing it and confidently and doggedly pursuing it. When your inner greatness is discovered, opportunities and luck will suddenly appear where they could not be found before.

Understanding Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Those patients that list or mention several of the conditions following may be suffering from an emotional condition referred to a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. 1) Constantly stressed, on edge or worried about even minor events or potential problems; 2) An anxiety grade which interferes with your work or family life; 3) Sudden physical symptoms, including shortness of breath, muscle fatigue, insomnia , irritability; 4) plagued by fears that you know are unrealistic or illogical; 5) shunning of link with strangers and societal settings – even family gatherings; 6) Sudden, unexpected panic attacks of heart-pounding surge. Regardless of the causes and severity, all patients with GAD share one common characteristic – the inability to cope with life-altering affects of worry and fears that are easily and automatically dealt with by most people. That is why they are referred to as a panic attack.

Because everyone has differences in their mental makeup, there may be wide fluctuations in the causes and severity of an anxiety disorder from individual to individual. Therefore, it is critical for sufferers to seek the services of a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist. It is for this reason – and the perceptible need for professional guidance – that the services of a psycho-therapist or other, psychological professional should be sought as soon as possible when experiencing an anxiety attack. After the causes and degree or depth of psychosis has been determined, a corrective regimen can be prescribed.

Recognizing emotional symptoms:

In addition to the obvious symptoms of intense anxiety panic and excessive or irrational fears of minor problems, there are also a number of other emotional symptoms that may result: 1) Irritability or bad moods; 2) Restlessness; 3) difficultness concentrating; 4) Easily startled; 5) Constantly expecting the worst; 6) Feeling jumpy/tense/afraid. Again, most patients in need of anxiety treatment know that there is a low probability of their worst fears becoming reality; nonetheless they are unable to control their obsession on the worst outcome. The total effect in many people is one of hopelessness – that things simply cannot befixed and that the future is probably going to be similar to their present level of sorrow.

Physical symptoms of an anxiety attack or GAD:

The majority of sufferers report several physical symptoms when these attacks occur: 1) Difficulty breathing or tightness in the thorax; 2) “Adrenalin surge” or the rapid heart-rate combined with panic and a feeling of the need to escape the situation; 3) perspiration in normal atmospheric conditions; 4) Shortness of breath; 5) Migraines ; 6) Sleeplessness . In rare cases, some patients even report stomach upset, dizziness, even diarrhea.

Understanding root causes and patient-specific sources of anxiety:

Many patients share multiple similarities in regard to their basic, emotional and mental makeup: Often they are right-brained, emotional, sensitive and feel all feelings more deeply than their left-brained counterparts. Often they have a history of being loners with long histories of social withdrawal and an overall malaise in social settings. They also share other characteristics, including lack of self-confidence and, particularly in men, were bed-wetters, experienced hyperactivity and even learning disorders. With an emotional sensitivity as a backdrop in adolescence, it is certainly no wonder that such individuals experience a radical response to stressful situations and often, therefore experience GAD.

Any marriage or relationship will sooner or later come into a time of conflict. The conflict normally begins when one of you said something that may be unimportant or even trivial, but if not handled well can blow up into a major problem . Hence the title of this article is titled “conflict in marriage………..” which contains my thoughts on the methods I have found that will help prevent the conflict growing. This is the initial step to preventing it getting worse and you having to ask how to get your ex back

In my throughout my life I have found that all marriages and relationships will have , at some time , conflicts, so please do not think that you are alone with your problems . If you follow this advice that I have come across about what to say and how to say things the conflict need not grow you must speak directly to on whatever is bringing about conflict, your partner is not a mind reader . It does not matter how long you have been in your relationship , do not be tempted to think that the other knows your feelings without making it understood .

You must communicate your depth of feelings on a particular subject , so if you feel very strongly on a point of conflict and by discussing it now, you can put down paramiters for the future.

Do not make use of sarcasm when talking about the problem , nor use “put downs” the most blatant of which is ‘you always do….’ .

Firstly sarcasm will inflate thesituation because your partner will see that as a flippant remark demostrating your lack of sensitivity or comprehension . Secondly, once said, you cannot take it back , and in this case ‘you always do/say…..’ will not be true . By bypassing these you will minimize the scale of the conflict, and avoiding the next stage that of how to get your ex back.

Take only one conflict at a time, do not pile up your conflicts by saying something like ‘and another thing…..’, increasing the conflict can be brought about so easily in this way. Solve one problem first before going on to the next.

If one of you wants to discuss a problem with your relationship please take the time to talk about the problem, silence or giving the other the ‘cold shoulder’ tends to intensify the problem, leading to an even greater conflict. Expanding on this theme , remember the old saying ‘do not let the sun set on an argument’ sort it out now, tomorrow is a new day .

Probably the most important piece of advice that I can give you on conflict in marriage-fight fair -you should never fight to win, but always fight to keep your marriage. Otherwise you will move on to how to get your ex back in vey quick order

If you are a guy who has been unlucky in love or seem to always end up with the wrong girl, chances are good you are a little gun-shy about dating. But in your deepest heart, you dream of being the kind of man who has the power to attract women without even trying.

This is not an impossible dream. There are definite successful ways to pick up women. They are not tricks; they are proven methods that work. They are not scams that give you a momentary ability to attract women. They are simply ways to improve yourself so you constantly exude the power to attract even when you aren’t trying.

The number one thing you can do to get women is to work on your self confidence. The secret in a man’s power to attract lies in his self esteem. When you have healthy self esteem, you are not cocky or arrogant, you are relaxed and playful and more fun to be around. This is the secret to how to pick up women.

When you have self confidence, you know you are worthy of a beautiful woman’s time and attention and you are not stung if your attempts to date a woman are not successful. You naturally have the attitude that there are more fish in the sea. And guess what? There are. When you approach a woman with self confidence, not placing a large importance on the outcome of the conversation, you are doing it right. It’s not just whether or not you pick up women – it’s how you handle whatever happens.

Once you realize what is in your control and what is out of your control, you can relax. Your approach anxiety will naturally disappear. You will appear more playful, more fun, more confident and more relaxed. And guess what else? The natural consequences of you feeling this way make you more likely to pick up women.

It’s ironic, but the less you care, the less emphasis you put on the outcome, the more power to attract women you have. But you can’t go out there trying too hard. It’s the opposite of that. It is having enough self confidence that you know you will be fine with or without a woman. And frankly, that is irresistible.

Bi-Polar disorder is another moniker for manic depression. When an individuals mood swings are very irregular with sudden changes from good to bad this is commonly associated with being Bi-Polar. It is just another in the many forms of depression. Sadness over an event isn’t manic depression. Manic depression is a much more serious condition. Another stage of depression is the diagnosis for bi-polar disorder. Manic depression is diagnosed in millions of cases each year in America. Typically, some type of depression yearly affects around 17 million Americans.

Two thirds of those people will never seek medical attention or even a diagnosis. Nothing can be cured if the victim doesn’t go for help. A lot of people refuse to deal with any disease called a mental illness. The negative image of someone who is “nuts” is just too much for them. Diseases that affect the brain have always been very complicated. The stigma of a diagnosis is a hard pill to swallow. However, as with any form of depression, the affliction does not make you less a person. It does not mean that you are a nut case. This is a disease like any other. If it’s identified it can be cured.

The causes of all forms of depression are still being examined in the medical profession. There are many factors that bring on depression. Doctors take into consideration many things such as biological factors, the environment, and DNA. A chemical imbalance in the brain helps cause it. Depression is also brought about by stress. Daily life brings stress, period. It can be problems at work, in our relationships with those we love or facing the reality of trying to survive week to week. Depression isn’t a condition for only “them”. Both the rich and the poor contract it. It doesn’t care about race. Color or nationality provide no protection from this illness.

All the types of depression have similar symptoms. Dramatic shifts in personality and up and down mood swings are some. The advent of sleeplessness is another sign of depression. The feeling of helplessness, hopelessness and Desperation. Depression is real when it interferes with your ability to live your life. There is hope for depression sufferers. Help is available. There are medicines both prescribed and natural that can offer a cure. Psychotherapy can also help. Support groups can also be helpful for those with manic depression. Look for assistance first.

Severe Depression occurs when the illness is in its worse stages. Most people who suffer from this disease seek no medical attention until it’s severe enough to require long periods of treatment. Each year over 15 million people in America suffer from some form of depression. Unfortunately 2/3 of these people never seek medical treatments. It seems that the age-old stereotypes that are associated with any mental illness leads these individuals to conceal their affliction and try to wish it away. But there’s no good fairy to magic away severe depression. Those who suffer this disease have no control over it and the condition will only get worse with time.

Many Americans are too ashamed to admit they are afflicted. Severe depression does not make you sub-human. It doesn’t make you less of a human. Depression is a real medical condition. Medical aid is required. The normal symptoms of depression are multiplied in severe cases. The intensity kicks up many notches. Social situations and work become more difficult. Negative feelings intensify to make you a total loner. This illness cannot be prevented. Treatment is possible. It’s vital to detect it early.

Diagnosis and treatment require an expert eye to notice the signs of depression. There are many different symptoms that are identified with depression. The victim will begin to pull out of the world around them. They find it impossible to handle relationships with other people. They cannot overcome their feelings of guilt, hopelessness and uselessness. They are constantly agitated and irritable. In the severest of cases those suffering from this disease may feel that they hear voices or believe they have received visits from the devil. At some point many of these victims of Severe Depression will consider suicide as a way of escape. Only treatment and the support of family and friends can help.

Severe depression is terrible. Victims become unable to live like they used to. Losing the ability to control your own life is terrible. Treatment is the only option. A combination of psychotherapy and medications are generally used to combat depression. Support groups can also help. Once victims seek treatment they can be put on the road to a better life. They can once again gain the self-control they once had. But first the illness must be admitted and treatment sought.

When you have been dumped by the man you were hoping to have a rosy future with, the pain and misery is overwhelming. You want your ex back, but you also want him to feel the pain and misery you feel first. You want him to be so sorry he broke up with you that he will come to you begging forgiveness. It is possible to make your ex regret the breakup and plead for you to take him back, but there are things you need to have the strength and determination to do. It is not as difficult as it may seem to make your ex boyfriend miserable without you, but first you need to make him ache for you.

This might sound a bit crazy to you, but to make your ex boyfriend miserable you will have to dump him. Since he is the one that broke up with you, it might seem like an impossible task but it is not. All you have to do is change the way he thinks you are going to react to his dumping you. He is pretty confident right now in the fact that he believes you still are crazy about him and will do anything to get him back. You need to burst his bubble of confidence big time and show him how wrong he is.

Now that he has been dumped and feels rejected, make him ache for you. He is now on the other end of the situation and he will be trying to contact you. Ignore him and do not take his phone calls or answer the many emails and text messages he will be sending. Find other interests. Reconnect with your family you may have been neglecting. Go out with your friends, have a good time and show your ex that you can have a life without him.

When your ex boyfriend hears of your activity, he will remember the good times he had with you and begin to miss you. This will make him desperate because he will feel that he has blown ant chance of having a life with the woman he loves.

Loneliness is actually considered a form of neediness. When you feel needy, you yearn to feel some support or companionship that you are not getting. When your world doesn’t appear to be as you expected it to be, you will feel lonely. We usually feel lonely when we lose something that is of great value to us, like a family member who died or a friend who moved away. When we are rejected by people, we also feel lonely. The reason why we automatically feel lonely in these situations is because we see the difference between how things are now and how they used to be. Another cause of loneliness is when we compare the happy social networks of other people to ours. When we see other people who have a good connections with the people around them, we long for the same thing and we instantly feel lonely knowing that we don’t have it.

To cope up with the feeling of loneliness, you need to focus on the present. Do not long for the past. When you find yourself doing so, stop right away. Always bring your attention back to the present. You can never go back to the past and relive it. Accept that fact. Rather, look for the great opportunities that you have at the present. Take as much as you can to improve your life.

Be proud of yourself and be yourself. Do not pretend to be someone you’re not. You aren’t anyone else but yourself and that is a wonderful thing. You are unique so be happy and proud that you are exactly who you are.

Learn to spend time alone and try to enjoy it. If you are comfortable being alone, you will forget your compulsive need for companionship. Take long silent walks alone in the park or watch the stars alone at night. You’d be surprise how this can feel very peaceful. spending alone time with yourself will actually help you think better of the things that make you happy. Concentrate on those and you will eventually forget why you were lonely in the first place.

Take the time to know your life’s purpose. Once you’ve figured out what it is, find time to involve yourself in activities that will support your purpose. When your life is directed toward an important purpose, the support of others will eventually lessen in significance. When you are involved in things that you need to do to fulfill your life’s purpose, you will realize it will be much harder to feel lonely.

Listen to happy music. Choose the kind of music that puts you in the mood to be happy. Turn up the volume and dance to your favorite music, sing to your favorite song and just let the music reverberate within you.

Lastly, know that your higher power is always with you. Always keep in mind that you are never alone. have a one on one conversation with your higher power and ask for guidance to get you out of your loneliness.

Estimates are that almost 15 million Americans suffer from Depression, a serious problem. Make no mistake, it is a real disease. Even though it’s a mental illness, the afflicted is not responsible for it because of personal habits like laziness. Depression can affect anyone. There’s no logic to its onset. It can strike the rich or the poor. Race or religion aren’t important. The fact that you are suffering from this disease does not mean that you are less a human being. Mental illness comes with stereotypes, ignore them. The longer a patient goes without treatment, the worse this disease becomes. Ignoring the signs will not make it disappear. If a person doesn’t seek medical attention, the disease becomes worse until it dominates their entire life.

Depression can result from a number of sources. It’s not a matter of a day or two of confusion or sadness, this disease is much more. Months or even years are the time frame in which depression plays. Suicide often results from depression. Early stages involve feelings of regret. It’s possible that the disease will steal away the enjoyment you used to have for favorite hobbies. It’s possible to experience loneliness and despair. It could lead to feelings of failure and a sense of the future only getting worse. Day by day your personality changes to the point that your friends don’t recognize your actions. It impacts every phase of life from work and school to at home. Anxiety grows and sleep patterns change.

There are many causes of depression. Stress is one of them. A serious illness or the loss of a loved one can cause stress. It can be passed on genetically. It can result from physical, sexual or even mental abuse. Looking at the monthly bills might cause it. Competition to make it in society creates stress in the modern world. Don’t forget that it’s a serious condition. There is assistance for people who look to be treated. Studies have shown that only a third of that 15 million Americans that are affected by depression will ask for assistance. A loved one or you have to look for the help.

Prozac and other medications, along with psychotherapy, are a common combination treatment. However, this can get to be very expensive and the anti-depressants offer as many side affects as the depression itself. Hyperforin, an anti-depressant ingredient, is found in many natural medications. There is also assistance for this terrible illness in the form of support groups. Whether you want it or someone pushes you to it, there is help around for depression.
