Everything impacts your emotional state. Whether you are having a strong healthy satisfying life or a life of problems and difficulties depends to a large extent on your past and present emotions and how you handled them.
Every individual in the world definitely has to come across a wide range of human sentiments at some parts of his or her life, probably due to some unexpected events in their life. And no one can evade from these events. Therefore, it can be put that how are handle our emotions and response to them could be the biggest challenge in our lives.
Staying on this, how can we project a better state of emotion when the situations happen? On this, we have to understand that for our ancient ancestors, emotions could be a life and death issue, as fear or threat from nature could be looming enough for them to start a fight or defend themselves. However, at this modern age, the emotions that we feel may not be as poignant as the ancient humans, but basically, we still operate similarly as we were thousands of years ago.
So when we have an emotional reaction the best way to have some control over it is simply to try and not react but listen to it, really understand what’s causing it, step inside it rather than put it outside onto someone else which is what we usually do. Try to maintain calm and let the emotion dissipate.
We have to realise that nobody can subject you to feel anything you do not keen to feel and I understand this could be tough, but if you do it regularly, you can improve and get better. The most challenging kind of negative emotion one can have is ANGER which is highly destructive and energy sapping. Look at countless occurences of crimes that happened, aren’t they got triggered due to anger in one’s mind? Learn how to control anger for the good sake of people around you.
Yes, no one wishes to become a zombie lack of emotions;we got to understand we have emotions which make lives colorful. However, we should learn to take control of our irrational emotions instead of letting them controlling our lives. Only then we can become happier as a family or as a big society.
A quotation from a report by the world illustrious Johns Hopkins University says the following -
“Cancer is a disease of the Mind, Body and Spirit, a proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit, learn to relax and enjoy life”
